I get it. I’ve been wicked crazy absent of late. Can I blame it on 2020? Probably. Will I? No. Truth is, it’s been an interesting combination of biting off more than I can chew and “I don’t wanna.” Childish, maybe, but the truth nonetheless. So how about I catch everyone up to where we’re at?
This year has yielded Hart’s Betrayal & Hart’s Redemption, a buttload of therapy, being driven slowly insane by plot bunnies for stories both inside and outside of this universe (yes, I have another pen name; find me if you dare 😉 ), NaNoWrimo (which I won, though not for any stories you’ll see here *insert evil laugh*), aaand a bazillion rejections. Upside, some of those rejections were after a full request and came with personalized “No thanks”, so three cheers for progress! Downside, they were still rejections.
Now, before it starts sounding all super Negative Nancy, I did get offered a contract for Sara’s Moon with a small press, no agent need apply.
I declined.
What?! You ask. Am I crazy? Well, yeah, see above. Ultimately, I decided not to accept the offer because it didn’t sit well, not saying it wasn’t perfectly legitimate, because it was, but not the right fit for me at this time.
So it is with extreme terror in my heart that I announce……..[drumroll please]……..
I will be independently publishing Sara’s Moon in Summer of 2021!
Stay tuned for more information in the new year for details, newsletter to follow (soon…hopefully…I promise it’s happening). To celebrate this momentous decision, I have also decided to update my author logo. Naturally, I went to my beloved Jay Jay with JJ Designs and Creations since they’d done my original logo, but for the design in mind they steered me to another amazing artist.
Working with Zoe at Rainbow Danger Designs has been incredible and every bit as rewarding as working with Jay Jay. Now I have two designer’s works to obsessively stalk. Yay me! Anyway, I’m beyond ecstatic with how it turned out and am pleased to share it with you today as a little holiday treat instead of waiting to launch it in the new year.
Be honest. It’s freaking amazing isn’t it? Yeah, I know, I love it too 😀
